Paula Knipping-van Zanten

 

Born in the Netherlands, Paula Knipping-van Zanten started her artistic life drawing when she was still a child. Her passion for art she inherited from both her father and grandfather.
In the U.S. Paula finished her senior year of high school, took courses in art, participated in art contests and was invited to make murals for the town's post office.

 

 

With art exhibitions in the Caribbean, the U.S. and the Netherlands, her work became well known and there are corporate and private collections of her work in Brazil, the Caribbean, Europe, Singapore and the U.S.A.

 

In 2006 Paula published a birthday calendar in Cairo, Egypt. She is currently living in Singapore.

Upon returning to the Netherlands she studied art at the Moller Institute. After graduation of this five-year study, she studied and worked in another field for a period of five years in both the Netherlands and the U.S. while painting remained her hobby.

Having moved to Curaçao, in the Netherlands Antilles, Paula started an art program for students at the International School. She worked there for two years as an Art Teacher and painted artistic impressions in assignment.

In 1998 Paula published her first Curaçao calendar, a children's birthday calendar, children's postcards and various designs in assignment for the business community.
